국민의힘 혁신위원회의 인요한(印曜翰, John Alderman Linton) 위원장은 여의도 당사에서 ‘당 지도부, 중진 의원, 그리고 친윤계 의원들에게 내년 총선 불출마 또는 수도권 험지 출마를 결단하라’고 강력하게 요구했다.
다만 이는 혁신 안건으로 의결한 것이 아닌 정치적 권고이다.
김경진 혁신위원은 이에 대해 “이 내용은 혁신위가 공식 의결을 한 건 아니지만, 지도부의 정치적 결단을 촉구하는 의미에서 인 위원장이 먼저 말한 것”이라고 부연했다.
이와 더불어 ‘제2호 혁신 안건’으로 (1)국회의원 숫자 10% 감축, (2)불체포특권 전면 포기 당헌당규에 명문화, (3)국회의원 세비 삭감 및 국회의원 구속 시 세비 전면 박탈 및 본회의 상임위 불출석 시 세비 삭감, (4)현역의원 평가 후 하위 20% 공천 배제를 의결했다.

인요한 혁신 위원장은 혁신위원회 2차 회의를 한 뒤, ‘우선 우리 당은 위기이고 더 나아가선 우리나라도 위기인데 이를 바로 잡기 위해서는 희생의 결단이 필요하다’고 주장했다.
그러나 위의 네 가지 의결 사항 모두 법 개정이 필요한 사항이라 실현 가능성이 높지 않을 것이라는 지적도 나왔다.

In addition, the “second innovation agenda” decided to (1) reduce the number of lawmakers by 10%, (2) stipulate the party’s constitutional rule to give up the privilege of non-arrest, (3) deprive the lawmakers of their expenses when they are arrested, (4) reduce their expenses when they do not attend the standing committee, and (4) exclude the nomination of the bottom 20% after evaluating the current members.
After the second meeting of the innovation committee, In Yo-han, chairman of the innovation committee, said, “First of all, our party is in crisis and furthermore, our country is in crisis, so we need to make a sacrifice decision to correct it.”
However, some pointed out that the above four resolutions are not likely to be realized as they require revision of the law.
